If your business serves a local area, whether it’s a city, a county, or a 30-mile radius around your shop, then Local SEO is the single highest-ROI marketing channel available to you. Not Facebook ads. Not mailers. Not billboards. When someone in Marietta searches “roofer near me” or “plumber open now,” Google decides who gets the call. Our job is to make sure it’s you.
Local SEO isn’t some mystery wrapped in a secret. It’s a consistent, ongoing checklist executed well. No buzzwords, no tricks, no “SEO secrets” being sold for $10,000 on some guru’s webinar. We handle the real work that moves rankings, and we tell you exactly what we’re doing every month.
Why Local SEO Matters
- A large share of Google searches carry local intent, and for a service business that is most of the traffic worth having
- A 2016 Google and Ipsos study found that 76% of people who search on a phone for something nearby visit a business within a day. The research is dated, but the behaviour it describes has not changed
- The three results in the map pack take the bulk of the clicks, so moving into them changes your call volume more than any other single ranking move
- Higher rankings mean lower cost per lead than running ads
- Results compound over time, so every month you wait is a month your competitors are getting ahead
Google Business Profile Is The Foundation
If you only do one thing for your small business online, make it your Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business). This is the listing that shows up when someone searches your business name, or searches “[your service] near me” and sees the map with three results at the top. Most small businesses have a half-finished profile with the wrong hours, no photos, and zero posts. That’s not just a missed opportunity. It’s actively hurting your rankings.
We handle the full setup and ongoing management. Complete profile optimization with every field filled in, weekly photo uploads showing your actual work, regular posts to signal to Google that you’re an active business, Q&A monitoring so you’re answering common questions before your customers even call, and review management to build the 5-star social proof that converts lookers into callers.
Citations And Directories, The Unsexy Work That Matters
Google trusts businesses that have consistent information across the internet. Your name, address, and phone number (NAP) need to match exactly across Yelp, Facebook, Bing Places, Apple Maps, Yellow Pages, industry-specific directories, and dozens of smaller sites that nobody thinks about but Google definitely notices. One wrong address on Yellow Pages can tank your local ranking.
This is tedious, boring, time-consuming work. Nobody wants to do it, which is exactly why it’s so valuable when we do it for you. We’ll audit your current citations, fix the inconsistencies, and build new ones in the directories that actually matter for your industry.
On-Page SEO, The Foundation Under The Foundation
When we build your website, we don’t just make it pretty. We make it findable. Every page gets optimized title tags and meta descriptions, proper heading structure, schema markup that tells Google exactly what your business does, internal linking that spreads authority across your site, and location pages for every city you serve. Your site isn’t just hand-coded to load fast. It’s built from the ground up to rank.
If you already have a site we didn’t build, we’ll audit it and fix the on-page issues that are holding you back. Missing H1 tags, duplicate meta descriptions, slow-loading images, missing schema, broken internal links, all the unglamorous stuff that actually determines whether Google can understand and rank your business.

Monthly Ranking Reports, No Mystery, No BS
Every month, you get a simple one-page report showing exactly what we did, what moved in the rankings, and what we’re focusing on next. No 40-page PDF full of vanity metrics designed to confuse you. No “impressions” or “engagements” that don’t translate into actual calls. Just the keywords you care about, where you ranked last month, where you rank now, and what’s next.
You’ll always know whether our work is paying off. And if it isn’t, if something we’re doing isn’t moving the needle, we tell you, adjust, and try something different. That’s the deal.
Why Hand-Coded Sites Rank Better
Here’s something most SEO agencies won’t tell you: a lot of ranking comes down to website speed. Core Web Vitals, measured from real visits, are one input Google uses to judge page experience. The bigger effect is simpler. A WordPress site loaded with plugins loses visitors before the page finishes painting, and the visitors you lose never become the engagement signals that compound.
This is why our SEO work pairs so well with our hand-coded websites. You start with a technical foundation that Google already loves. Fast load times, strong PageSpeed scores, clean HTML. Then we layer the local SEO work on top. It’s the difference between racing in a stock car and racing in a Civic.
Web Design
A fast, hand-coded website is the foundation of good local SEO. Our sites are built lean and score well on Google PageSpeed, which makes every SEO dollar go further.

How Long Does It Take?
Here’s the honest answer: 3 to 6 months to see meaningful ranking movement. Anyone who tells you they can get you to #1 in 30 days is either lying or about to get you penalized. Google intentionally moves slowly on local rankings because they want to see consistent signals over time, not quick manipulation attempts.
Month 1 is setup: audit, fixes, Google Business optimization, initial citations. Month 2-3 you’ll start seeing your profile in more searches and some initial ranking improvements. Month 4-6 is where the compound effect kicks in. More reviews, more citations, more content, and rankings start climbing for more competitive keywords. Most local markets take somewhere between six and twelve months to break into the top three, and some competitive ones take longer. You will see exactly where you stand in the monthly report either way.
If you’re looking for overnight results, we’re not the right fit. If you want to build a real ranking moat that your competitors can’t easily copy, one that keeps bringing in leads for years, let’s talk.
